Motherless Monday

This Monday I am posting the aging out girls who have Down Syndrome.

The girls I am posting today are featured on Reece's Rainbow.

The second girl Rania. She has until next March to be adopted. She can be adopted with Gracelynn and/or Kinley. They each have a 10,000 dollar grant

The next girl does not have a photo to do her justice. Velia is a precious girl with Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I also happen to know she is available for summer hosting. (Let me know if you are interested in what hosting program she is featured in)

Sponsor Sunday

I know I know, I started to slide in my posts. But hey I am back!

I have been swamped with school, working on an application for a gap year program in the Dominican Republic, which is where I went last summer.

Today I am posting a little girl from Sri Lanka who is visually impaired and shares a birthday with me.

Kathuja

Kathuja lives with her mother. She is responsible for carrying water and cleaning. Her mother maintains the home. There are 2 children in the family.

As part of Compassion's ministry, Kathuja participates in Christian instruction. She is also in primary school where her performance is average. Playing with dolls, hide-and-seek and playing group games are her favorite activities.

Kathuja especially needs your love and care because she is visually impaired. Because of your sponsorship, however, she is better able to lead a well-adjusted life. Please pray for her.

Helping a family fundraise for their adoption

I know I know, I started to slide in my posts. But hey I am back!

I have been swamped with school, working on an application for a gap year program in the Dominican Republic, which is where I went last summer.

This beautiful Saturday afternoon (at least where I live) there are only two days left for this fundraiser. There is a family that is offering a great deal of a raffle. For every 5 dollars you donate you receive one entry into the raffle. If you share about the give away on facebook twitter and blog.

Motherless Monday

Today I am posting about a girl who ages out this month. she desperately needs our prays before her chance to be adopted closes forever. If this happens she will live the rest of her short life in the  institution.

Here is Salome. She has a 20,000 adoption grant

N

Please pray that her family will find her!

Do you see her. This how she will live the rest of her life. All she needs is a loving family. Her grant is up to 20,000 dollars, which is almost the whole cost of her adoption.

Fatherless Friday

It  took a while but I finally decided on March's orphan category. This month I have decide I will post about children who are at risk of aging out because there are so many on the waiting list and a few precious children who age out this month. Today there are to older boys that I want to post. They are both aging out in august, diagnosed with albinism, featured on Reece's Rainbow, and both have just received a huge donation to put them up to 10,000 dollars. These boys have almost half of their adoption paid for with this grant.

so here are the boys:

Wesley

He suffers from vision loss due to albinism. His profile on Reece's Rainbow says: "Wesley was abandoned when he was 6 years old and he has been on the list since 2008. He has a gentle temperament, is polite and sensible, and gets along well with others. He likes to play games with kids outdoors. He likes watching cartoons, listening to stories with peers, playing games with kids outdoors, likes playing balls and toy cars best.   He especially prefers toys that make sounds."
Shane

Here's what his profile says about him "Shane is a very extroverted boy, he is active, outgoing, [speaks fluently], and he can talk freely before strangers. He likes to sing songs, and he often sings and dances before adults. His singing is beautiful.  He likes to play badminton, Fly Chess and car toys.  He has dreamed since he was young to be a bus driver to serve the passengers.  He is easy going, and he never breaks into temper without reason, so he often has a smile, and he often helps do something in his ability actively, like clean the floor and desk and fold the clothes and so on."

Sponsor Sunday

The child I am posting is a little boy who has been waiting far to long for a loving sponsor. He was my prayer child months ago and he had disappeared of the website but unfortunately he was not sponsored. I love his hair and his is pretty cool like come on it is a no Breiner. He looks like a sweet boy.

No child should ever have to wait that long for a sponsor, so will you pray
that he does not have to wait much longer.
